Good Friends in NYC

We are so lucky that we were away when the madness happened to our city. We are still in shock and disbelieve. The President isn't talking about our city and that can't be our road that we drive on everyday. It all sounds like a bad plot to a show. For the pass week, we have been an a road trip. First, we had to see our dear friends in NYC. Alexia and Annabelle put on the dresses that Amy made for them. Annabelle said that they were sisters and Alexia thought it was the best. It doesn't matter how long they haven't seen each other. They are close friends.

Greek Soldiers

Greek parade is this weekend in Boston. Yaya and Auntie rushed Maimou and and Alexia their traditional outfits. Maimou was excited to see his new pom pom shoes. Unfortunately, Alexia's Greek girl dress was too big. So, we offered her the Spiros' old outfit and she looked super adorable in it. Her Greek soldier outfit is about 45 years old. Spiros and Maimou have wore that outfit, but she fitted it in the best. After being all dressed up, Maimou and Alexia practiced standing like soldiers and the famous march, knee up, kick and step.

Mr. And Ms. Vietnam

Last night was international night at Maimou's school. Maimou and Alexia wore their traditional clothes from Vietnam called ao dai. These pictures are for my mom. I hope she loves seeing her vietnamese grandkids.

Big Apple Circus

Maimou and Alexia wanted to go to the circus and of course, I was not sure with my own issues. However, I took them anyways. Let me say it was amazing! It was a smaller circus done retro style. There were no large animals as elephants, and zebra. Instead, they have trained horses and rescued dogs who rode scooters. Then, there was a man who manipulated a huge hoop. The Big Apple Circus really bought the cool back.

Dragons and Princesses

On Saturday, we spent the day at the MFA. The kids are at an age where it's a pleasure to take them places. No screaming and running. They are actually interested at the world around them. In the Asia wing, they looked for dragons and Maimou actually copied a dragon that he liked. I think he did an awesome job. Alexia on the other hand drew princesses.

In Texas

The kids loved being with their Ba, Ong and Uncle Khoa. They had picnics outside, went to Houston to visit extended family and ate Chick Fil A. They were so spoiled when we got them back.

Alexia's Name Day

Alexia's name day on St. Patrick's Day. It's easy to remember, but when she is older, it might be trouble. We invited her buddy from school over for cupcakes. I think Grant has Maimou's approval. Happy name day to Alexia.
