Growing Too Quickly

Kids grow so quickly, but the difference is shocking. The first picture was taken in May 2012 and then the other a couple of weeks ago in Jan. Alexia went from a dumpling baby to a long little girl. hugs and kisses to my sweetie.

Sardine Eating Kids

My kids love sardines especially the eyes. Michael is cleaning a sardine for Alexia to eat.

Author Celebration

Lucky us, we attended Michael's Author Celebration in his class today. His teacher said that he wrote his book all in one sitting. The book was about a visit to the Science Museum where he saw flying squirrels and a milk snake. I did not take any pictures of the book, but it was super impressive. He sounded out words with spacing in his writing. It actually was readable. In the last few weeks, Michael has made lots of connections with literacy. He is reading and writing.

The Cake

It's all about the cake.

Silks

Here we are trying out the silks. Such a good work out.

Moody Street Circus

It's Maimou's birthday party and it was so much fun. I can speak for the parents that was a blast for everyone. The party was held at our friends' training studio. We all got to try all the equipment at the circus as the rings, tight rope, trapeze and silks.

Happy 5th Birthday

For Maimou's birthday, we had Pho for a long life, noodle=long life. Then, we enjoyed a few yummy cupcakes. I think Maimou had a good birthday.

Celebration Walk

With Maimou's bday Ferrari shirt, Maimou took his birthday walk at school. It's a Montessori tradition. He walked around the sun for each year of his age. Then, he read a book to his class.

2013

Alexia is so sweet. Here she is hanging from her daddy's head like a monkey. Don't worry, she never falls. Then, everyday from school, she comes home and hands me a picture and says, "I made this for you, Mommy."

Happy 2013!

Newport Christmas

Still trying to recover from New Year's. Hope everyone is doing better than myself. We had a second Christmas in Newport this weekend. Santa surprised us with purple tree and goodies for the stockings. With all the rocks, shells and wood pieces they collected all year, the kids decorated our artificial tree with natural things. Also, I learn to make the perfect espresso and latte.
